Description

The Arm Wrap is used to restrain the arms. It may be used to help some stroke patients and people who may punch or pinch their Carers. The patient is log rolled in bed so the Arm Wrap can be placed behind them and then attached together over their arms. As soon as the patient has been lifted into their chair, it should be removed.

Key Features

  • This product is an ADL (Aid to Daily Living) and can also be interpreted as a restraint.
  • It is recommended to approve and document the use of the Arm Wrap in the patient's care plan.
  • When lifting the patient during the day, an alternative may be the Arm Holder (sold separately), which holds one arm while the Carer looks after the other arm.
