Description

The Car Seat Slide Pads will assist frail people getting in and out of cars. It consists of a Top Pad and Bottom Pad. The person can slide their bottom back into the middle of the seat and then turn themselves around. If they need assistance, a Carer can push them back into the seat and lift their feet into the car.

Key Features

  • Top Pad Size: 58cm x 58cm / 23" x 23"
  • Washing Instructions: Wash up to 80°C (176°F). Air or tumble dry on a cool setting, ensuring the drum is cool. Ensure the product is dry before using or storing.
  • General Manual Handling Warning: Manual Handling products are designed to assist carers to help patients. They will not make the carer stronger or fitter, but with correct training and use of the products, should make manual handling easier and safer for both staff and patients.

Additional Information

If necessary, use the webbing positioning handles to turn the person to face the front correctly. You must still do up the seat belt when driving. After completing the journey, the Carer can undo a plastic buckle to allow the person to turn sideways and put their feet outside the car. If they need assistance to stand, there are some webbing handles on both sides of the Pad that the Carer can gently pull forward to help the person to stand.

FAQs

What is the difference between the Car Seat Slide Pad, the Car Roller Sheet, and the Handi Soft Turn Pad?
All of these items are car seat turning aids used to help people get in and out of cars. By far the best one is the Car Seat Slide Pad because it slides the best when it has weight on it. The Handi Soft Turn Pad can sometimes be a bit of a struggle to turn if the person does not sit in the centre of the Pad. The Car Roller Sheet has more or less been superseded by the Car Seat Slide Pad.
