Chair Pad Sling

Conventional slings with split legs can sometimes be difficult to fit, especially with larger Patients where it may be difficult to slide the leg section under their legs. The Chair Pad Sling is designed with no leg sections, like a Hammock Sling, saving both the Carer and Patient the effort and stress of fitting a split-leg sling.

Optional Accessories

Sling Neck Support: There is no head support with the Chair Pad Sling; however, a Sling Neck Support can be attached to the Sling or to the hoist hooks, to give comfortable support for the head. This may be beneficial for Patients who go into extensor spasms.

Chair Pad Sling Safety Belt: The Chair Pad Sling will hold the Patient in a comfortable safe position, and it is highly unlikely a Patient will ever slide out or fall from the Sling. However, the optional Chair Pad Sling Safety Belt can be attached for nervous Patients who may feel more secure knowing the Belt is holding them in. This Belt can also be used with some other Slings.

Cleaning

Hand or machine wash, up to 80°C (176°F). Cool tumble dry or air dry in shade. Ensure the Sling is thoroughly dry before using or storing. Store in shade away from direct sunlight. If defective, withdraw from use and contact Pelican.

Warning: Excessive Chlorine/Bleach can damage any material, including Sling material. Slings should be continuously inspected for deterioration and discolouration, as this may be an early warning of possible failure.

Disposal: When the Sling is ready for disposal, we suggest that the lifting straps are cut off, so it cannot be used with another Patient.

Warning: Inspect slings before every use. If any damage is found, the Sling must be withdrawn from service and repaired, if possible.
