The CVA Arm Support Cover is a curved arm cushion designed to hold an arm and hand. A large inner polythene liner bag is provided, which must be filled by the customer with polystyrene balls as used in bean bags. The narrow neck of the cushion should be placed behind the Patient's back, allowing them to lean back against it for support.
Key Features
- Curved design for optimal arm and hand support.
- Includes a large inner polythene liner bag for filling.
- Elasticised loops for securing the cushion to the chair or wrist.
- Adjustable positioning to improve circulation.
- Can assist in tilting Patients to help them sit upright.
Additional Information
The amount of balls needed will vary according to the size of the Patient and the chair. If the neck is filled with balls, it can provide lumbar support. The polystyrene balls to fill the cushion can be easily purchased from most department stores (K Mart, Target, Walmart, Big W, etc). One pack of balls could fill four or five Covers. After filling the liner bag, squeeze the bag to expel most of the air inside, then tie a loose knot to prevent the balls from going into the neck of the cushion. The inner liner bag can be removed when the outer cover is being washed.

FAQs
Why is the filling not supplied?
This is simply due to the freight cost. To send the filling with this item would mean the customer would have to pay a much higher freight cost. The filling can be purchased from most department stores.
How much should I fill the cover?
This depends on how full you want the cover to be. It is not ideal to have it packed hard - you want some 'give' in it.
