The Guardian MediFone personal alarm has over 250 Fall Detection settings. Although fall detection technology within a personal alarm will never be perfect, the MediFone pendant can be custom set to provide the greatest chance of activation.
Don't settle for less when shopping around, choose the Guardian MediFone today.
For non-emergencies, use the side button to access your contact list to call up to 8 contacts (family monitoring only).
Emergency Contacts can receive an automated SMS notification if the MediFone leaves a predetermined boundary.
The LED screen displays the date, time, battery percentage, cell signal, and more.
The MediFone will work after the 3G shutdown via our specialised Guardian Telstra SIM.
How does it work?
A simple press and hold of the SOS button activates the MediFone's emergency sequence. You can choose who the MediFone calls, whether it's a list of known emergency contacts or a 24/7 professional monitoring company.
Purchasing a Guardian MediFone means you'll receive lifetime phone support & lifetime reprogramming for free.
There are many ways to customise your device. We do all of this for you before sending your MediFone.
If you wish to adjust settings at any point, you can call or email us with your request. Almost everything can be adjusted remotely so there's no need to post or bring your MediFone into our office.
Customisation options include:
Each device is personally set up and tested by a trained medical alert technician here at Guardian. These settings can be changed by us remotely for free as part of the lifetime service that comes with your MediFone.
Once testing is complete, we deliver it from our office according to your preference, whether you want to pick it up, use a local courier, or have it sent via Australia Post.
After it arrives, we strongly recommend you turn it on right away and perform a test to make sure it works how you'd like it to.
In an emergency or whenever testing, it's simple; press and hold the SOS button until the device activates the emergency sequence. It announces the activation with a voice prompt under our default settings.
If it's ever activated by accident, pressing and holding the SOS button a second time will cancel the emergency sequence. It's best to wait for the MediFone to beep after hearing the activation voice prompt before attempting to cancel.
Like a seatbelt, you never want to have an emergency but you put it on during every journey. Similarly, we suggest to wear the MediFone whenever alone. Charge it every day to ensure it always remains charged (no need to turn off the MediFone except when flying).
Who is the MediFone ideal for?
It’s extremely reliable. The MediFone has 250 fall detection sensitivity levels. If falling is a concern, this is the one to choose.
The LED screen keeps the user informed while voice prompts guide the user along the way. The geofencing feature is particularly ideal for those suffering from dementia. Overall, though, it’s a great choice for just about anyone.
What makes this different from the other pendants?
Compared to our pendant version of the MediWatch (aka the Lanyard Version), the MediFone has a larger GPS antenna and a larger SOS button. These differences may be important for those that either need more accurate GPS readings or for those who prefer easier access to the SOS button.
However, the MediFone only provides voice prompts in English. For a pendant that provides voice prompts in any language, please refer to our other products.
How often do I have to recharge the MediFone personal alarm?
It’s best to charge the MediFone once a day. The battery can last more than a day but it depends on the user’s location. Areas with weaker GPS and/or cell signal may affect battery life.
Please note that the MediFone only works on the Telstra network.
Whether you want family monitoring or professional monitoring, your Guardian MediFone Personal Medical Alarm is custom programmed for you so it’s ready to use when you receive it.
