The Handi Lift Walk Belt is a popular transfer belt for patient handling. You can use it for transferring people and when walking with those who need assistance. Two carers normally work together when using the Handi Lift Walk Belt, but if necessary, one trained carer can work alone if it is safe to do so. The 10cm / 4" wide double Hook & Loop Tape belt is very supportive and can be fitted around the waist on ladies or under the arms of men and some women.

All sizes have 4 vertical padded webbing handles, except for the Extra Extra Large size, which has 6 padded webbing handles and fits a maximum size of 150cm / 59". The extra handles allow more carers to have something to hold onto if necessary. Custom-made larger sizes are available upon request. Important
General Manual Handling Warning: Manual Handling products are designed to assist carers in helping patients. They will not make the carer stronger or fitter, but with correct training and use of the products, should make manual handling easier and safer for both staff and patients. When training, practise with an able-bodied colleague. If any procedure is not comfortable or is difficult and puts the carer or patient in a dangerous position, the participants should call out to stop the manoeuvre, recover and recommence. Never jeopardise your health by straining, twisting or being incorrectly positioned when manual handling. Always select the most appropriate equipment for the patient's current condition and if in doubt, use mechanical equipment. Ask your Manual Handling adviser for individual guidance.
Correct Buckle Threading: It is vital that the buckles on this product are correctly fitted. Contact us if you need to order a replacement buckle if one is broken.

FAQs
What is the difference between the Handi Lift Walk Belt, the Soft Transfer Belt and the Gait Belt?
The Gait Belt is made from 5cm / 2" wide webbing with four webbing handles. It is normally used with patients who do not need a lot of help when walking. For some people, the narrow webbing may not be comfortable. Consult your Manual Handling trainer to make sure this belt is right for you.
The Handi Lift Walk Belt is supportive for dependent frail patients. The 20cm / 8" wide material is comfortable on the patient. The Handi Lift Walk belt has four padded webbing handles that are comfortable for the carers to control the gait in rehabilitation or with elderly patients.
The Soft Transfer Belt is padded, with a 5cm / 2" webbing belt and buckle that can be adjusted to size. There are four padded webbing handles to help stand and transfer patients. This is also available in a wipe clean material cover to help with cross infection.
