There is also a narrow light blue strap on the back of the Over Door Arm Exerciser. This narrow strap is used to loop around the door handle on the other side of the door so that the Exerciser will stay in position when the door is opened.

To use the Exerciser, the Patient may be facing the door or have their back to the door, and they may be sitting or standing - consult your Health Professional for guidance. They should use their good arm to assist lifting the weak arm, then lower the weak arm back down by raising their good arm.

A Tip For Shorter People: To help when putting the webbing over the top of the door, use something like a broom handle and place the end into the webbing, then pull the webbing taught so it will not fall off.
