Description

The Shinpads are made from a soft material to help give protection to the shins. They are particularly helpful for diabetic patients who may walk into chairs, beds, etc., causing ulcers that could take a very long time to heal. They are made from foam with two layers over the shin bone so there is good protection. There are two soft elastic Hook & Loop Tape straps to keep it in place.

Additional Information

To Fit: Place the Shinpads around the lower legs. Attach with the Hook & Loop Tape around the back of the leg. Cut the Hook & Loop Tape to size if it is too long.

Cleaning

Wash up to 80°C (176°F). Air or tumble dry on a cool setting, ensuring the drum is cool. Ensure the product is dry before using or storing.

This product is to help with the prevention of pressure sores. Sometimes, due to the patient deteriorating, the product may become unsuitable. Continuous monitoring is necessary and alternative products may be recommended.

Are they available in wool?
We do not have enough demand to keep stock of special wool Shinpads. If you would prefer wool, let us know and we can make them as a special item.

Can they be used on the arms?
Yes - they can be used on the arms but they may seem slightly bulky. You may want to have a look at the Arm Shearing Sleeve as an alternative.
