Description
The Soft CVA Arm Cushion is designed to hold subluxed arms. Its soft, moisture-wicking cover and Hollow-Core Polyester Fibre filling make it comfortable for a Patient’s arm and hand. Two elasticised loops are sewn into the Cushion in case it is necessary to tie it to a chair.

Additional Information
A Therapist or experienced Carer should position the Soft CVA Arm Cushion. They may rearrange, add, or remove filling to suit individual Patients. It is possible to create a channel to place the arm in, but still have the hand raised higher.
The Cushion cover is made out of a soft white, four-way stretch material that wicks perspiration away from the body. A black zip is sewn onto the white material. By having a contrasting coloured zip, it is easier for a Carer to make sure the Patient's skin is not resting on the zip.

Cleaning
Hand or machine wash up to 80°C (176°F). Cool tumble dry or air dry in shade. Chlorine and Bleach can damage the filling and covers. Usually, people purchase a separate cover to use like a pillowcase and remove it for washing. If the filling needs washing, the entire Cushion with the filling inside can also be washed as above.
Hand-squeeze excess water out and air dry in the shade. If the internal filling becomes dislodged or misshapen during washing, it can be re-arranged by unzipping the Cushion and plumping the fibre to suit the Patient’s individual requirements.
Important: Ensure that all parts of the Cushion are completely dry before using or storing. Open the zip and place a hand inside to make sure the filling is dry.
Important
Sometimes, due to the patient deteriorating, the product may become unsuitable. Continuous monitoring is necessary and alternative products may be recommended.

Recommendations
All Soft CVA Arm Cushion Covers have contrasting coloured zips. There is a flap inside the covers to help prevent the filling from becoming caught in the zip.
The Black and White Cushion Covers are made out of a soft, four-way stretch material that wicks perspiration away from the body.
The Blue Waterproof Cover is made from a wipeable, breathable, four-way stretch material. The seams are heat sealed, but the zip opening is stitched. Although this Cover is mostly heat sealed, it is not described as a 100% Heat Sealed product because it has a sewn zip.
The benefit of this filling is that it is possible to remove or add some of the fibre for particular pressure care and individual Patient care.
Polyester is cooler and softer next to the body compared to foam or micro-polystyrene beads, and may help Patients stay thermoneutral.
