Description
The Soft U-Shaped Cushion can be used in the supine position to rest the arms on, and can help prevent the patient rolling on to their side. By removing some of the filling from the neck area, it can be used to give some lateral support for people sitting in chairs. A Therapist should position the Cushion and may rearrange, add, or remove filling to suit individual Patients.

Cleaning
Hand or machine wash up to 80°C/176°F. Cool tumble dry or air dry in shade. Chlorine bleach can damage the filling and covers. Usually, people purchase a second cover to use like a pillow case and remove for washing regularly. If the hollow-core filling needs washing, then the entire Cushion with the filling inside can also be washed as above. Larger sized Cushions with the filling still inside may not fit in a domestic washing machine; however, they can be washed by hand in a large laundry sink or bath. Hand-squeeze excess water out and air dry in shade. Note: If the internal filling becomes dislodged or misshapen during washing, it can be re-arranged by unzipping the Cushion and plumping the fibre to suit the patient’s individual requirements.
Waterproof Heat Sealed Covers can be wiped clean with a hospital grade disinfectant, or removed from the Cushion and hand or machine washed up to 80°C, then cool tumble dried or air dried.
Important: Ensure that all parts of the Cushion are completely dry before using or storing. Open the zip and place a hand inside to make sure the filling is dry.

Inspect for any cuts in the material or open seams before using. If any damage is found, withdraw from use and contact Pelican Manufacturing. When handling, transporting or storing the Vacuum Bag, ensure the bag will not be damaged by sharp objects. A small pin prick sized hole will allow air to re-enter the bag and inflate the product. This product is designed to help with the prevention of pressure sores. Sometimes, due to the patient deteriorating, the product may become unsuitable. Continuous monitoring is necessary and alternative products may be recommended.
