Frequently Asked Questions

Can I wash my wenaCel sensitive Pillow?

Yes, the wenaCel sensitive Pillow can be washed. The outer cover will need to be removed from the inner cover with the fill remaining inside. Both the outer cover and the inner cover (with fill) can be washed at 60 degrees Celsius on a gentle cycle using wenaCare or a gentle, natural-fibre washing detergent. The wenaCel sensitive Pillow must be airdried and not placed into a dryer.

My Pillow feels flat. How do I fix it?

Aeration of the pillow is important. Every morning you should puff up your pillow. Then at least twice a month open the zip inside the pillow and stir up the fibre (like whisking an egg) for a few minutes to fully separate and aerate the fibres. You should wash your pillow (outer cover and the pillow itself) at up to 60 degrees Celsius every three months. For further information, refer to our Care Instructions.

What kind of warranty do I have on my wenaCel sensitive Pillow?

wenaCel sensitive Pillows purchased new have a five-year manufacturing warranty from the date of delivery. All the terms and conditions which apply to the warranty are located on your official order and/or delivery documentation. You must provide these documents should you need to make a warranty claim.

Can I adjust the height of my wenaCel sensitive Pillow?

Yes, you have control over the height and firmness of your pillow as you can remove filling and shape your pillow to suit your personal preference. Always remember to support your neck. Make sure your pillow is at the right height to ensure your neck is in an orthopaedically correct alignment.

Product Care

Initial Aeration – Remove the pillow from the packaging and allow to stand for one hour to initiate aeration.
Full Aeration – Open the pillow zips, remove two-thirds of the fill and stir the pillow fibre contents thoroughly with your hand to fully aerate. Gradually add the remaining pillow fill and stir.
Height Adjustability – Once aerated, you have control over the height and firmness of your pillow so you can add or remove filling to suit your personal preference. Always remember to support your neck orthopaedically.

Coverings

wenaCel® sensitive products should be used with appropriate coverings, i.e. pillow case. Use of a top sheet is optional. Wenatex The Sleep System offers a wenaCel® comfortPlus pillow case and fitted sheet to complement these products.

Washing the Pillow

Remove the wenaCel® sensitive pillow outer cover prior to washing. The pillow outer cover can be washed at 60° Celsius at least every month. It is recommended that the inner pillow, with the fill remaining inside, be washed three to four times per year at 60° Celsius.
