The Wool Wheelchair Pad can be used on wheelchairs and other chairs to help with pressure care and comfort without adding a lot of extra height. It will fit chairs between 40cm to 50cm wide and can be used as a Seat Pad or as a Back Rest. Two separate Pads can be used together, with one on the seat and the other on the back of a chair if desired.

Additional Information
When a patient leans too far back in a chair, it can increase the pressure on the coccyx area and may also affect their breathing. This can be a particular issue for people with short legs. Using the Wool Wheelchair Pad with the foam inside as a Back Rest can help people sit upright, improving pressure care, posture, and breathing.

Cleaning
If the foam is being used, remove it from inside the Pad before washing. Hand or machine wash up to 80°C (176°F). Air dry in the shade, or tumble dry on a cool setting, ensuring the drum is cool. Ensure the product is dry before using or storing.
Important
Note: Please remember that, like sheepskin, this wool material can shed some fibre when it is cut. We try to remove any loose wool, but some may remain until the product has been washed a few times. We recommend washing the Wool Wheelchair Pad separately to prevent any fibres from sticking to other items in the washing machine or tumble dryer. After washing, shake the Pad to remove any loose fibre.
