The Calming Sheet may help some people to be more relaxed when in bed and assist those with a proprioceptive condition. It is ideal for children with sensory processing disorder, autism, or ADHD. When the person is in bed, the Calming Sheet will stretch over their body and provide a sensation similar to a weighted (pressure) blanket, but without the excess heat. It may feel like a comforting hug or deep pressure touch.

Additional Information

The stretchy Top Sheet may dampen uncontrolled leg or arm movements. Regular blankets and sheets can be arranged as usual on the bed, either underneath or on top of the Calming Sheet. Some people like to order one or more spare Top Sheets from the drop-down menu so that there is always one available while the other is in the wash.

Cleaning

Base Sheets and Cotton Spandex Top Sheets can be hand or machine washed up to 80°C (176°F). Thermoregulating Top Sheets can be hand or machine washed up to 40°C (104°F). We recommend using a large Washing Bag to prevent the Sheets getting entangled. Cool tumble dry or air dry in shade. Ensure the product is dry before using or storing.

Important

This product is not a restraint, but it does limit movement in bed. Only use with suitable people who understand how the Sheet will work. This product may not be suitable for people under 3 years old. Have guidance from an Occupational Therapist for the individual using the Calming Sheet.
